Backward & Up Vertical Hammer Punch — 

Step 1 — Stance Stand in a balanced fighting stance with hands up and eyes forward.

Step 2 — Chamber Bring your fist close to your chest or shoulder. Keep the wrist straight and the fist tight.

Step 3 — Rotate Turn your hips and shoulders backward toward the target. This rotation loads the strike and adds power.

Step 4 — Impact Drive the fist upward and backward in a vertical hammer motion. Strike with the bottom of the closed fist (hammer surface). Aim for targets behind you such as the jaw, nose, or chin level.

Step 5 — Retract Bring the fist straight back to your guard. Return to stance, ready for follow‑up.
