Educational Stop (Palm Stop) with Jab/Push to the Throat —

Step 1 — Stance Stand in a balanced fighting stance or natural ready position. Hands up, palms relaxed, eyes forward.

Step 2 — Present the Palm Extend your lead hand forward with the palm facing out. Fingers together, thumb safely tucked. This creates a clear boundary and stops forward movement.

Step 3 — Verbal Command Use a firm, confident voice to reinforce the gesture. Short phrases such as “Stop” or “Stay back” support the action.

Step 4 — Jab/Push to the Throat (Training‑Safe Targeting) If the person continues to advance: Use a short, sharp palm jab to the upper chest or collarbone area in training. This simulates the real‑world action of targeting the throat without making unsafe contact.

Keep the movement small and direct. Your other hand stays high to protect your face.

Step 5 — Create Space After the jab/push, step back or angle off to maintain distance. Keep your guard up and stay aware of further movement.

Step 6 — Reset Return to a balanced stance with both hands ready. Continue communicating or disengage as appropriate.
