Step 1 — Stance

Hands up, weight forward, stable base.
Step 2 — Lift

Raise the knee straight up toward the chest.

Keep the foot relaxed and heel tucked back.
Step 3 — Drive

Thrust hips forward to generate power.

Slight lean back for balance.
Step 4 — Strike

Hit with the top of the knee, not the thigh.

Drive forward or slightly upward.
Step 5 — Recover

Snap the leg back.

Return immediately to your stance.
